About the Event
Hiking at Alapocas Run State Park in Wilmington, Delaware, offers a unique blend of natural beauty, history, and adventure, making it a popular destination for hikers of all levels. Known for its rugged rock formations and the Brandywine Creek, this 415-acre park features trails that weave through dense hardwood forests, open meadows, and scenic views along the creek. The main trail, Alapocas Woods Trail, is well-marked and winds along forested paths, providing a mix of shaded, cool areas and sunny clearings.
Alapocas Run State Park combines Delaware’s natural landscapes with glimpses of its history, making it a rewarding outdoor escape year-round.
The trail selected is rated moderate. If you are new to hiking and/or looking for a challenge, this is the hike for you!
